Who we are

My Plekkie (myplekkie.co.za and the My Plekkie app) is run by Elcolynx (Pty) Ltd, South Africa. By using My Plekkie you accept these terms. Contact: [email protected].

What My Plekkie is

My Plekkie shows properties advertised by estate agencies, developers and owners. We do not sell or let property ourselves, we are not an estate agent, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and an advertiser.

Listings

Each listing's content (photos, description, price, size, availability) comes from the advertiser, who is responsible for it. We do not check it and do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or still available. Always view a property yourself and confirm the details before you sign or pay anything.

Never pay a deposit or rent before you have viewed the property and signed a lease. If a listing looks suspicious, tell us at [email protected].

Calculators and figures

Bond repayments, transfer costs, transfer duty, the income needed, and whether a home fits your budget are estimates, using the rates and assumptions shown on screen. They are not financial, legal or tax advice, and not a quote or approval from a bank or attorney. Attorney fees are not included unless stated.

Your account

• You do not need an account to browse, save homes or contact agents.
• If you create one, give true details, keep your password to yourself, and be 18 or older.
• You can delete your account yourself at any time (My account).

What you may not do

• Send false enquiries or spam to agents, or pretend to be someone else.
• Automatically download or copy the listings or photos ("scraping"), or overload the service.
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to get around its security.

We may limit access or close an account that breaks these rules.

Content and trade marks

The My Plekkie name, logo and design belong to Elcolynx (Pty) Ltd. Listing content belongs to the advertisers. You may share listings (for example on WhatsApp) for your own use.

Liability

We work to keep My Plekkie accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from a listing, an estimate, an interruption of the service, or an agreement you enter into with an advertiser. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy notice.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. The law of the Republic of South Africa applies.
